Dear reader,
Welcome back to Guiding Words.
In the previous lesson we learned that only by infusing our own meanings into the words we use and those that are used to define us can we take control of our personal narratives.
Guiding Words is a (mini) playbook to Serenity, and we have defined Serenity as the ability to live in the world without letting the world live inside ourselves.
Why is Serenity the most important goal to strive for?
Because Serenity is the only antidote to fear, suffering, doubt and all the other negative feelings that plague the human condition. We spend our days chasing our dreams, but each step is shrouded in suffering and even when we are not chasing something, our minds are always restless, neither at peace in the past, the present or the future. The path to Serenity, therefore, aims to tame the ego, calm the mind, and create within us an oasis of tranquility that can be used as a foundation and a stepping stone from which to reach towards our dreams with less to no suffering.
Who is Guiding Words for?
- Guiding Words is for those who have deeply suffered – for one reason or another –, are finally tired of shouldering the burden of suffering and are now ready to embark on a journey to peace.
- It is also for those who are eagerly chasing a certain goal, dream or aspiration, certain that only by achieving it will they find the feeling of happiness, fulfillment and validation that they are longing for.
The lessons shared in Guiding Words are mental models for better living and their goals are twofold:
1. Provide the reader with the right sets of principles and tools to shift and reframe their thoughts and, by doing so, relieve their mind from the pain, the tension and the stress that comes with the daily challenges of life.
2. Reset and redirect their attention by providing them with the awareness and clarity to see through the nature of the ego and from that place of knowledge build their own path to happiness.
However, Guiding Words is only the foundation on which the house of Serenity is built. There are many more principles to learn, techniques to practice and, most of all, a community to join and to grow with.
Achieving and deepening Serenity is a cycle of self-transformation which requires the pilgrim to go through five critical phases, which are:
- Self-awareness
- Self-love
- Self-acceptance
- Self-forgiveness
- Self-transformation
What are my intentions or, to put it more bluntly, what am I trying to sell?
Serenity, of course lol.
However, on a more serious note, my intentions are threefold:
1. Share with the world through Guiding Words and Words of Art the lessons the path to Serenity has taught me and is still teaching me.
2. Build for myself and for those that share Serenity as their main goal, the support community that I didn’t have in the beginning of my journey, and which could have made all the difference.
3. Experience through the Words of Art community a version of my life that I can truly be proud of.
So, what’s next?
Cultivating Serenity and achieving life goals are personal journeys, but the path can often be long, lonely, and arduous. If your goal is to cultivate Serenity and, leaning on that foundation, design the life of your dreams, I want to invite you to join me in building a community that we can all leverage to achieve our common and personal goals.
Question: Are you interested in joining the Words of Art community?
If the answer is yes, please accept my warm welcome to the Words of Art community!
Please click here to schedule a meeting so we can get to know each other better and, more importantly, so I can understand the expectations you have for the Words of Art community?
If the answer is no, please feel free to share your reason why for even a no is an indication of something of value. In any case, whether you join or not, please never hesitate to contact me if you ever feel like it. It always fills me with great joy to hear from people on their own journey to Serenity.
Words of Art (the insights shared freely and publicly) and Guiding Words (the principles you’ve just read) are everything I’ve learned on the path to Serenity. They are enough for anyone wishing to use them as a roadmap, but as the saying goes, alone we can go faster, but together we can go further… and it’s just more fun.
With that said, whether we cross paths or not, may Serenity always be upon you.
P.S.: I am trying to find the right words to convey my thoughts in a language that is not mine, so please pardon my mistakes and feel free to reply with any suggestions and/or corrections that can make this reading experience more enjoyable.
